I have my father to thank for my love of technology. As a child, he introduced our household to the wonders of the personal computer. I spent a good deal of my time testing out command prompts in DOS and playing games off of 5 1/4 inch floppy disks. The concept of making something happen on the screen through my commands on a keyboard fascinated me. Controlling a tiny, pixelated ninja was so exciting.
Now, as an educator, I see great potential in using more technology and incorporating pop culture to help students make better connections with the content. This site will chronicle my successful (and maybe not so successful) implementation of technology, comics, and pop culture in my classroom.
